There's been some speculation that Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr would want to follow their father to the White House?

If so, what's their best bet to gaining political prominence?

The state they're most associated with is New York, although Republicans don't do very well there. Should a Trump kid try to run for statewide office in an year where Democrats would historically be weak?

Should they aim for some kind of safer lower office (IE- Staten Island's congressional seat if Dan Donovan is pushed out)?

Or, should they move elsewhere for a political career?

One thing they should do (but I seriously doubt their will) is disassociate themselves from their father's policies and/or style.

Ivanka should run as a Democrat, probably. Either way, they both have an extremely narrow path to navigate. I don't see it happening. Maybe they become FNC hosts.

Donald Trump Jr should move to Houston and he might get elected mayor there.

Ivanka Trump will never enter politics, but she might run a non-profit of some sort.

Their best bet is to turn states evidence and cooperate with federal authorities.

Long Answer: If politics were Pinocchio, Trump would be Stromboli, Don Jr would be Lampwick, and Ivanka wouldn't exactly be the Blue Fairy. Pence or possibly Kushner would be the titular puppet character and Geppetto would probably be Steve Bannon, with Stephen Miller as a malevolent version of Jiminy Cricket. Honest John would be recast as "Honest" Sean Hannity.

Short Answer: I don't see them as having much of a political future. I just like to come up with modern political analogies for classic cartoon films.
