After a moderately successful IA-S-IP government, Greenland is gearing up for new elections

The economy is growing from heavily regulated mining, and the incumbent government looks for a new mandate to continue this and steer Greenland towards independence.

Inuit Ataqatgiit: Once again led by PM "Tuusi" Motzfeldt, the IA are running on continuing the present course on the mining issue, and argue that it is principal to Greenlandic self-sufficiency and eventual independence.

Anti-Mining Party-The Greens: Led by a young former IA member, Avaaraq Olsen, the Greens are still a single issue party against mining, arguing it would destroy the lives of many Greenlanders. A portion of the party is anti-immigration as well, arguing that the boom would bring in too many foreign peoples. However, this is a small wing of the party.

Atassut: Led by a young Ellen Kristensen, Atassut is the main pro-union party. They are mostly centrist, and argue for minimal autonomy increases.

Siumut: Led by Johnathan Motzfeldt, Siumut is a pro-independence party that argues for slightly less regulated mining to speed Greenland's independence process. They are liberal on social issues.

Union: Led by the conservative firebrand Otto Steenholdt, Unity believes it is the true unionist party. They argue for minimal or no mining regulations, including extending mining to Northeast Greenland National Park, but not using this to make Greenland self-sufficient, but to "Aid the realm". They are hard right on social issues, especially on Greenlandic language rights.

Issittsup Partiia: Still led by Nikolaj Heinrich, IP is in favor of less mining regulations for a self-sustaining Greenland, and believe that mining will be the key to Greenland's independence. They have conservative views on social issues, although they do defend Greenlandic Language rights.

Akulliit Partiiat (Centre Party): Led by Former Nuuk Mayor Bjarne Kreutzmann, the Centre Party attempts to hold the middle ground, arguing that Greenland should deregulate and privatize, as well as lower taxes to boost economic growth, and gain the self-sufficiency to become independent.

Tourism is a better way to rake in revenue than mining for the long term if the eventual state, the Greens is thus my choice.

AMP-G: 22.23%, 7 seats (+2)
IP: 22.22%, 7 seats (+5)
A: 22.20%, 7 seats (+2)
IA: 11.13% 3 seats (-5)
AP: 11.11%, 3 seats (+3)
S: 5.56%, 2 seats (-2)
U: 5.54%, 2 seats (-2)

Fatigue plagued the Government's campaign, and protests in Nuuk and Narsaq showed the Anti-mining movement's strong influence. In the end, the Pro-independence government took 12 seats, with a surprisingly strong showing for IP, and a massive collapse of the IA. However, non-government forces are extremely split, with all parties ruling out the Union, and only the IA considered the Greens. In the end, the incumbent government was the only real possibility, but then the IA walked out of negotiations, stating that with the way it was looking, the next government would be a disaster, and they wanted no part of it. No coalition was able to form, and as such, a snap election was called.
