1992 and 1996 are extremely aesthetically appealing imo. 1860 is a cool map to look at. 1912 is too. Not much more to say about it.

Glad to see support for 1976.  What a weird map that could have easily gone completely different.  ALL of the NINE largest states that year were decided by 5% or less.

Gotta go with 2000 also. It is now iconic for giving us the notion of "red" and "blue" America, though 2004 is a slightly more aesthetically pleasing variant.

Also voted 1824 (as perhaps the least aesthetically pleasing map), and 1860 (probably the most important electoral map in US history).

1924 because lafollette is boss and it was the last time a nonsouthern state voted third party.

1896 is a wonderful map, that has to be number 1.

I also like 1904

My final pick would be 1880.

As you can probably tell, I like southern democrat maps
