It could be for political, aesthetic, climate, or economic reasons...what areas would you choose?
Alabama: Huntsville or Birmingham suburbs
Alaska: Mat-Su Valley
Arizona: Flagstaff/Prescott area (Page if it wasn't so hot and far away from anything)
Arkansas: Northwestern urban area (Bentonville, Rogers, etc...)
California: In the Sierra Nevadas, not far from Yosemite
Colorado: Anywhere in the mountains. Maybe Telluride.
Connecticut: Southwestern Fairfield County
Delaware: Northern New Castle County suburbs
Florida: Probably the Orlando area but the whole state is Hell tbh
Georgia: Anywhere in Metro Atlanta
Hawaii: Kauai
Idaho: Coeur d'Alene
Illinois: Lake County
Indiana: Indianapolis suburbs

Maryland: Probably the Baltimore suburbs just because they're closer to my friends and family in PA, but the DC suburbs are nice too

New England: Boston or NYC suburbs, though owning a farm in Vermont would be pretty awesome

I doubt I would live anywhere else, partly because my significant other hates cold weather
