What can save white-working class Americans?

Not only white working class Americans in the Midwest, the South and parts of Las Vegas suburbs, but in the Northeast as well. I live in New Jersey, I live in a diverse working class suburb in Central Jersey and I see the white working class upclose.

Some of them look depressed, yes, even middle class white working class people. Some of them associate with black, Latino, Asian, South-Asian people, but at the end of the day, they still seem depressed. Where I live, property taxes are the highest in the nation (NJ).

These working class white NJ people smoke lots of cigarettes like their Southern and Midwestern counterparts, some of them attend community colleges and colleges and universities, work in HR/sales, construction, some of them have a good job that make them commute to Newark/New York/Philadelphia, etc, but they still look depressed.

The white working class millennials are athletic, wear Nike sneakers and jerseys, watch basketball/football/soccer/cricket, whatever, and they still seem depressed.

Yes, they have white privilege, but I doubt they care about that.

What can save white working class America? Trump? Bernie? Tough talk from Don Lemon and President Obama? What?

It's not my responsibility to save my WWC family who I know for a fact are only poor and unhappy because they are lazy and irresponsible. They can either help themselves or continue to suffer the consequences of their actions. I don't care what happens to them and I hate it when people try to tell me that I should.

The lack of fraternal organization for communities has hit the whole nation hard. What needs to happen is that there has to be an intersectional national movement to rally these workers to better themselves and their community, to look past the gloom and strive for a future where they aren’t trapped by cultural blues. Where they can revive themselves, not back to prominence, but through acceptance of the nation in where family ties are abundant, you are doing what you love, yet are interconnected with those newly found that have your background that they didn’t realize.

We all are actually suffering, the youth now are lonely and inexperienced with socials life. They mask it by appearing happy on social media, documenting the “fun” they are having. We are in an age where we can connect and communicate, yet we are lonely and divided.

Wether through political( though take into account if it is for the best for all of us as people), religious, or creative groups we gotta find a place to fit in.

How about we focus on working class Americans period? The needs of the white working class aren't vastly different than those of working class people of other races, and working class people of all races are suffering right now. When you frame the problems facing all working class people as "WWC" problems, that leads to people dismissing things like drug addiction as "white people problems" even though they're everyone's problem.
