In 2016, voters 18-24 voted Democratic 56-35, and made up 10% of the electorate. If the voting age remained 21, one would imagine roughly half of this group would be unable to vote, so by that math one would imagine just over a 1-point swing to the Republicans nationally.

Yes, before 2004, most 18-21 year olds didn't vote. Once the Y2K generation came, with Dubya, 18 year olds started to vote, that's why Kerry almost upset Dubya, and Obama coalition started in 2006. And Trump is gonna lose in 2018 and 2020
