I just learned some people watch every step and hold on, every time they encouter stairs...I found this weird.  I've known exactly two people in my life who could go down stairs more than one at a time though.  I've tried, that sh**t is scary!  Unless I'm carrying something heavy or I'm super tired, I go up 2 at a time.

(did I do this before?)

Uh, I guess it depends? IDK, I've never really paid much attention to how I walk in general...

Going up...1 step, look, no hold.

Going down... 1 step, look, hold.

I have size 15 shoes and my feet hang over the end of stairs going down.  I had a bad fall all the way down the stairs cuz I wasnt looking and I had put lotion on my feet before putting socks on.  Luckily it was only a couple bruises but it hurt.

Almost always 2 steps, look (?), hold - less holding upward unless I'm pulling myself up several flights.

Depends if it's a staircase I'm familiar with or not (especially those that are pre-International Building Code), but, no, I wouldn't be shuffling along, looking down, and holding on for dear life.

Skip going up [I'm too tall to deal with the shortness of just one step] but look so as not to trip, bumslide going down

I hold the rail both ways (I am disabled after all Tongue), sometimes I do bumslide going down or even crawl going up.
