My race for the house and what are my goals?
1. I'll attempt to be a better member and more respectful towards everyone as you all deserve. I realize that I have angered a great many people so that's something I'll work on and by the end of my term I hope to have earned it back.
  
2. I'll try to work with other people more to develop better bills. Truly my best bills as commons member in the Fremont commons were when I worked with other people on bills like educational funding(11k to 18k per student per year), drug legalization and Net Neutrality, but later on I lost sight of that and lost quite a bit of respect. Hopefully, I'll take a step back as your house member and allow other people to take a larger lead.

3. My promise to you my voters is to remain active every single day on the job as you deserve! I have great passion and I’ll take you my voters very seriously. I respect you and I’ll fight for you!

4. One of my major goals is to decrease income inequality within the republic of Atlasia. The left really needs to refocus on the workers and try to bring some of the moderates into our fold with a reasonable pro-workers mindset. One law that I could promote as your house member is a federal right to unions bill that would end an corporations/business ability to stop the formation of unions for any group of workers. This would greatly enhance the workers ability to form unions to bargain for better pay.  Another pro-worker bill benefiting the creation of a larger middle class  would probably be stronger enforcement of anti-trust laws as Atlasia these past 50 years honestly has been sleeping on the job and we have lost a great deal of our industry to monopolies like Walmart, McDonalds and Microsoft. What this does is kill competition and allow for most of the wealth to go into the hands of the few as market forces break down.


5. I'll fight for human rights for all as Government must be the protector of the weak and so I'll work to pass bills to advance this concept. Between us, I respect religion, so I can see the other side of the equation too that so many on my side sometimes fails to see, so I realize as a just society we must learn to respect each other and work together towards a better tomorrow. No one deserves to be stomped on and mistreated and I'll keep that in mind.  

6. I believe every person in Atlasia should have a great education be it in public , private school or college. It is the cornerstone of our ability to maintain our lead as a world power to have an educated population that can reach for the stars. I'll make bills as I did as commons member greatly increasing federal funding of education be it public or private as everyone should have choices in where they send their children to be educated. Another thing I did as commons member is to greatly equalize the educational system between the poor and rich schools within the region and I’d consider doing this nationally.  

7. A believer in our Leadership in science! Atlasia needs to promote space exploration and strongly believe we should get at the resources of space to expand our economy and to increase our ability to innovate and discover.  Not only space exploration, but more money for needs to flow into cures for cancer, heart disease and other diseases that kill millions of our people yearly. Believe me, I am not all big government and honestly do realize that some of the red tape has hurt medical innovation and our ability to bring cures to the market place, so I'll work to cut enough of this to bring cures to the market place much faster! A right to try bill may even be considered for people that are near the end of their life.

8. Energy will be local! Yes, energy will be made here in Atlasia. I'll promote bills to advance green energy like solar, wind and hydro to be over 75% of our energy blend by 2045. I am not anti-nuclear, so I am more than willing to work with the federalist in mixing some more of that into the mixture.  

9. Work to end gerrymandering and to overturn citizens united. The people should have a stronger voice in the ears of their elected officials.

10. I'll fight to increase infrastructure funding for our aging infrastructure through Bloc grants to the regions and states allowing them to return Atlasia to the days when we had some of the best infrastructure in the world! We can't allow our infrastructure to keep falling apart and I attend to change this dangerous path. The great federalist in the 1950's started the highway program and so I'll work with all parties to get it done as I believe they also want to continue our nations greatness.

11. On the environment, I love the environment be it the clean blue waters of our Great lakes to the forest of our west coast!  The environment must be preserved for our children and for our future generations to enjoy or we simply will be handing down a land that is worse off to them.  This includes the animals that preside within them that deserve to survive. I pledge to protect the endangered species act, clean water act, and clean air act and will fight for a better tomorrow.


Lastly, Friends, I hope you can consider me and give me a chance in Octobers election as I’d be honored to be given a chance.

Each of these bills I proposed, which addressed infrastructure funding (literally the creation of an infrastructure-focused department) and education, were passed by the (Federalist-dominated) Southern Chamber of Delegates, the legislative branch of the region you have attacked in the past. In addition, the first three bills passed with every delegate voting in favor, and the fourth, while not everyone was present for the vote, passed with no vote against.  Again, this occurred in the legislative chamber of the region that is the most Federalist-leaning, and these bills faced no opposition by the final votes.

So the federalist party is about as liberal as pup and Labor?

Pup is going to have to become a full blown socialist party to be able to separate its self from the pack.

This is somewhat of an oversimplification but the Feds are a big tent socially with more conservative economic views and a emphasis on regionalism. This isn't a perfect comparison but they on average most resemble the pre-Reagan GOP, which makes sense given the IRL partisan leanings of the forum. Just to be clear I do not agree with them on everything and was unhappy that stuff like the HELOIS Act and Employee Free Choice Act were vetoed by the Federalist president a while backbut in the short time I was in the Senate, I voted with them all the time. I don't like it when people attempt to handle treat them like their the modern GOP because it's a sign that someone isn't paying attention and trying to just be a partisan red or maroon avatar in many cases. You can thank the issue of money in politics for this which skews the political spectrum to the right IRL but the Feds are simply not as extreme as the modern day GOP.

As for how liberal the PUP and Labor are, they're basically generic center-left parties that lacks an identity, which I think is part of the problem. With that said, IMO blindly being a full out tankie party won't necessarily pick up any swing voters. Separating yourself from the pack, while a good strategy IMO pending the exact issue for the IRL Democrats to follow because the present realignment in the country which started when the GOP started with the cultural war issues back in the 1970s combined in order to re-shape the political landscape while on economic issues listening to their billionare donors and under such present alingment the most liberal one can get is basically another Obama type president, isn't necessarily the right idea for the left because there are fairly few voters in Atlasia who vote right wing here just because of NFL players kneeling or bathrooms or abortion, although the upcoming FM race will prove how many crossover Fed voters and/or how many PUP/Labor voters I can get/lose since I'm clearly more culturally conservative than my opponent).

Most hard lefties and socialists aren't registered voters in Atlasia (this is something I hope to try to fix in future cycles as Peace chair) or don't vote for the Feds as is. Few people on Atlas have PM scores of S: 4 and E:-2 and support the Feds unlike the millions of people IRL who don't vote their economic self interests. On the other hand, in the few elections I followed closely in my 10 month tenure in the game, there are some left of center people with varying ideologies, myself included, sometimes vote Feds because I think they're more qualified to serve, know more about policy as well (the only really good policy guy on the left is Scott and he obviously had to resign from being my speaker due to RL issues), and more importantly, in many cases run a nice guy/girl FF campaign to give them some crossover appeal. I voted for Yankee in June and fhtagn in February while voting lefty down ballot for some of the above reasons, although in her case she turned out to be a bit more right wing than I expected).

-Atlasia will have Right to try. Why? Because it hits close to home as my dad died from Cancer when I was 19 years old and all my Granma's. I am sick and tired of seeing people suffer from cancer and other diseases.  It shouldn't take 10 years to pass through the FDA for a life saving cure, so much pain and heart break doesn't need to happen!

Friends, I stand  before you tonight to discuss my agenda with you once again and to lay  out what I'll do as your representative.  

First having to do with Infrastructure-I'll fight to increase investment into our roads, bridges and general infrastructure enough to make Atlasia number one once again!  What That means is we'll compete with Europe or anywhere on earth! What does this entitle you may ask, well, Public transit connecting communities and roads getting a healthy upgrade to widen them to better handle rush hour traffic. Our infrastructure is half a century behind the times and anyone that has sat in traffic for hours can agree.  



Next up is Science! What does this entitled? Well, Money for cures for diseases such as cancer and more that affect every day atlasians. How will I make this so? simply put, we'll go back to the percentages that the federal government spent on science to gdp of 40 years ago or better yet more. Our space program will land Atlasians on the moon, mars and we'll stay this time! Our children will be full of pride and hope as they watch their nation succeed and move forward as the super power it is.





On the issue of Tech I will be leading the charge to develop a Nation wide wifi infrastructure like the one I passed in the commonwealth of Fremont! This will be backed by federal net Neutrality so the internet that we have enjoyed for the past 25 years will be taken away from you.  Not only this,  but we'll become number one in the investment of super computers once again. Sounds pretty good, doncha think? Leading sounds really good to me.  

Education-No longer 23rd in the world for public education! We'll fight to become number one once again for k through 12 with eight thousand dollars more per student and vastly stricter federal educational standards. I passed the money part of this in the Fremont commons during my term so you better believe I am serious about the advancement of our children!.



The environment is very important to me and we'll develop our energy needs and work towards continuing the progress of cleaner air, water and the renewables needed to make that possible. Billions of dollars will be invested in science to produce better quality renewable energy devices from solar, wind and nuclear! Mark that down!


Lastly, I will vote in every single vote on the floor that comes up! This is something you should expect from your representatives and I won't let you down! I will never quit fighting for you and being their for you. Friends, I have a record of getting things done! This October we're going to make Atlasia greater than it as ever been!!!! Some more of my platform

Criminal and prison reform- Our nation is currently the most imprisoned nation on earth, so our goal should be to focus on rehabilitating criminals and reducing pointless laws. Some Examples of pointlesss laws are: jay walking, prostitution or drugs should never come with a prison sentence or even the loophole allowing for it. Our prison system need to be modeled after western Europe with the focus towards rehabilitating people instead of turning them into harden criminals within our prisons that occurs every day.  Our current system has failed and has resulted in Atlasia not being the land of the free for too many.

Defense Spending - We need to reduce defense spending and get out of the needless wars! We aint the worlds police! Time to focus on our own people for once instead of getting our sons and daughters killed over idiocy.

Deficit - We need to increase the taxes on the rich to levels not seen since the 1950's!  Close the loop holes allowing boeing, at&t and walmart from paying far less taxes then federal law says they must! Reform the tax system to have some real teeth to go after these cheaters and to make them pay what they owe. Not one cent out of infrastructure, science or education if I have my way.

Education - I'll do exactly what I did for the commonwealth of Fremont and work hard to increase funding to 18-20k per student and give them the equipment that they deserve. Friends, we need smaller classrooms focused on the indivual more and more focus on skills that can be used later in life on the job if we wish to regrow our middle class. Those 12 years of public school should be useful to our kids or they're wasting their time.

Energy - We need to phase out fossil fuels during the next 40 years to ZERO! No more games!!! Hundreds of billions of dollar subsidies and bloc grants need to be passed through congress backing renewables, hydro, nuclear and even futurist tech like fusion. I'll write a bill doing exactly this within the first month of my term in office. Count on it.

Environment - We need to clean up our environment!  We need to enforce the clean air and water acts like never before and work to clean up pollution, trash and plastic within our rivers, oceans and lands that cause illness in both people and animals alike. We should be focusing on getting Flint Michigan the clean water they deserve and consider the damage it's causing on the environment that it is most certainly doing. We must not be only focused on humans only as Nature and the animals that live within it deserve clean air, water and forest to live  in and so I will fight hard to make our little piece of earth better for all.  Lastly, the federal government should expand the national parks to help with allowing some breathing space for the animals.
  

Foreign Policy - Non-interventionist unless our friends are attacked! Period. No more going around the world attacking countries as it is wrong for our sons and daughters to have to die for some presidents thirst to be the next emperor. I want our president to fight hard for peace and to sit up for days fighting for it if need be instead with that energy.

Fair trade! - Atlasia should tariff at the level that the nation we're trading with does to us and not a cent lower or higher. The day they lower it to zero is the day we should too. Our workers and businesses deserve it! No more trade deals that disadvantage the people of Atlasia.  


Gun Control - Ownership of assault weapons should be greatly limited, but we must respect the constitution and work within its boundaries. Guns in general should only be allowed if you can pass a back ground check that shows that you're sane and able. Once you can do this you're welcome to have one as the second amendment allows.

Infrastructure - Atlasia has some of the worst infrastructure within the developed world and this wasn't always so, but if we wish to return to those times we're going to need trillions of dollars worth of infrastructure investment. I'll work to advance massive increases at the national level rewarding bloc grants of 500 billion dollars for infrastructure per year for the regional governments and states. This would be a respectable increase and would allow for Atlasia to return to the first world country that it deserves to be.

Jobs - Better trade deals focused on fair trade, enforcement of anti-trust that prevents companies from sucking up all the new businesses, and more investment into education and jobs programs.  Part of the problem is most of the wealth is going to the top and that isn't healthy for our nation at all. Lets make the system fairer to allow the little guy the chance to become part of the middle class that Atlasia deserves.

Taxes - Less taxes on the little guy and more on the big guy. The big guy should pay at least 30% more each and every year. It is criminal what we allow walmart to get away with.

LBGT-Freedom! Seriously, let them be free!

Gambling - Nothing wrong with fun. Less regulations, less restrictions and more freedom.

Legal - Like the criminal and prison reform above I believe we need less laws. The old saying is the laws an ass and there's a good reason for that.


Video games- Freedom! First amendment.

Free speech- nearly total. I'll fight for your first amendment rights unless it is violent.

Science- You know my stance! More funding, less red tape, right to try and so much more.

Marriage and the Family - I believe in strong families and marriage! Want to reduce income inequality? The family is a institution that allows for stability.


Presidential power- the congress shall maintain the power the constitution gave it and shall never hand over power. There's a reason our founders made the government with three branches. Check and balance friends.
