Atlas Presidential endorsements have always been pretty pivotal - the nation (EC-wise) has always been very careful to NOT vote for whoever a majority of Atlas endorses - Atlas endorsed Kerry in 2004, McCain in 2008, Johnson in 2012, Clinton in 2016.

Other races don't have such a trend though.

Senate and Gubernational endorsements seem to be overwhelmingly Democrats. Obama seems to be an unpopular character here. Kerry, McCain, Johnson, Clinton. Strange. Haha

The 2008 and 2012 result was mainly due to a conservative website in 2008, and a libertarian website in 2012 encouraging people to sign up on atlas for the sole purpose of casting a mock presidential vote. It was literally single purpose in that. Neither case involved people being encourages to participate in downballot endorsements, to post prediction maps, or to post on the forum. There was no such raid in 2004 or 2016, and as a result, the mock election reflected the general left leaning nature of atlas.

Considering there are many Trump bots on social media websites, I assume a myriad of them are going to flood the endorsement site also.

They haven't in the past on senate/gubernational, so why now?

I'M JUST GONNA EXPLODE IF I DON'T GET TO FANTASY-ENDORSE MY CANDIDATES!

But in reality, we have endorsements for midterm elections? Have I missed something? Is it different than the presidential endorsements (where you get a badge under your name)? Are we confusing this with predictions?

Yes, and you even get the maps listed on your forum profile. (See mine for instance.) Not the most popular feature, with only about 100 users completing them in most years, but obviously one with a devoted following.

I knew about the maps, but I thought those were "predictions" - is the endorsement thing different from that?

Here since 2004 and you don't know the difference between predictions and endorsements?! I'm revoking your Atlas Forum nerd card. Tongue Here's the difference:

My 2016 Senate predictions
My 2016 Senate endorsements

Apparently, looking at all Atlas Endorsement sections, atlas has only endorsed losing Republican candidates twice:

Norm Coleman (R-MN) in 2008 Senate Endorsements, who lost by only 312 votes.

Dino Rossi (R-WA) in 2008 Gubernatorial Endorsements, who lost by a substantial margin that year, but it was a rematch of 2004 where he lost by 129 votes before atlas endorsements were a thing.

Atlas endorsed Rossi in 2008? That's kind of a shocker. Though maybe not considering so many people here still have a fetish for him a decade later, lol.

My nerd credentials may be in question ( Tongue ), but as I recall, Freepers invaded Atlas' presidential straw poll section or whatever you call it in 2008 - which is why McCain won the presidential vote here - so it wouldn't surprise me at all if some GOPers downballot got "endorsed" as well.

The Senate endorsements seems to erroneously say that there are 36 races, when the reality is that there are only 35.

Where can I find the endorsements?
