Mason Dixon Poll:

COLORADO GOVERNOR

Bill Ritter-D 41%
Marc Holtzman-R 30%

Bill Ritter-D 42%
Bob Beauprez-R 36%

I have not been following this race at all.  Ill yield to anyone who knows anything about this race.  By the way, who is Bill Ritter?

From what I can gather, Ritter is a former district attorney of Denver

From Political Wire:

A new Public Opinion Strategies poll shows Beauprez leading Holtzman in the Republican gubernatorial primary, 47% to 13%. The poll also finds that 80% of voters have heard of Beauprez, while Holtzman had only a 44% recognition rate.

This would be great for the party to win in Ohio and Colorado.

Colorado is an extremely important state for Democrats.

I believe we won the state legislature in 2004, now we just need to win the governor's post.

I believe he has.

You can expect him to move up to some higher office (governor, U.S. Senator) in the next 10 years, though.
