By europeization. Woodrow Wilson proposed devolving the powers of president to the government as it is in Europe (with Prime Minister and etc.) in the late XIX century. It's still actual to me.

A looser federation of states with a very minimalist and libertarian constitutionto endure the maximum amount of individual liberty while keeping major decisions up to the states

Effort number one is to ruthlessly break Republican power, forcing them to moderate or forever be on the margins. I'd start with paring back the number of red states (merge the Dakotas with Montana and Idaho, eliminating around six Red senators), and turn Puerto Rico, Samoa, and Guam into actual states, creating an additional six Democratic ones. Use this supermajority in the Senate to impeach and replace both Gorsuch and Kavanaugh, thus ensuring a liberal majority there. Use that to redraw the lines in the states so that Republicans can't keep a House of Representatives majority while also losing the popular vote by almost double digits. Use a liberal executive, Congress, and court to overturn basically the entire last three decades of conservative economic policy -- eliminating the Reagan, Bush and Trump tax cuts, and enacting reform that rebalances wealth distribution in this country, following by an end to the War in Afghanistan and an audit of the Pentagon and an end to billions in unnecessary military spending. Meanwhile, we double down on the liberal world order by saving NAFTA and TPP, and restoring our participation in the Paris Agreement and the Iran deal. Inquiries into wrongdoing in the 2016 election are ruthlessly pursued, likely resulting in treason charges for most in the Trump inner circle. And while we're spitballing, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, Devin Nunes, Darrell Issa, Alex Jones, the NRA lady, and Chuck Grassely are forced into exile in Siberia.

I suppose the OP wasn't clear.  I think he wanted to reinvent America for the better, not some authoritarian hell hole.

Oh that sounds bad? I thought I was being more than generous considering what has happened since 2016. And I was talking about reinventing it for the better.

Frankly the sheer scope of drastic moves required to make things fair again is what you should take away from all that. The system IS rigged, and not against Trump, the GOP, and the 'job creators'. I don't seriously think we need to do all of this, but the fact is that the system now has become untenably unfair and someone is going to have to do something about that.

And you think it would be better if it was rigged in favor of your side.  THAT'S NOT BETTER!  You want it to be better? UNrig it.

Strengthen the role of government in the constitution.
Abolish 2nd amendment.
Alter free speech amendment to be less libertarian.

We need to get Identity Politics OUT of society (while still striving for equal rights), both on the left and the right. It's a cancer.

We need to figure out how to advocate for political and civil freedom without having to be economic libertarians, as well. Say I'm a socialist. Can I still be a believer in freedom in the political sense? Must I? Yes.

These two things would go a long way in the right direction.

It is baffling to me that you aren't OK with that, but you are OK with a supposedly democratic system that allows a party that has lost the popular vote for nearly 25 years to somehow have unified control of the federal government, as well as the right to fill the Supreme Court with 2 justices despite a recent loss of the popular vote by millions of votes (not to mention one of the justices was stolen from the previous president!).

Who said I was okay with that? In fact, I think the GOP has delegitimized the judicial branch to the point that Dems should pack the court next time they gain power. I just thought your fantastical scenario was amusing, lol.

You do realize you argue for the right wing mirror image of this on nearly a daily basis, right? He's a creep, you're no better.

Even though I disagree with extremism with his post
