Yes.

I could not operate my personal and business budget, planning activities and finances without Excel.

I can't say I haven't spent an awful lot of time just screwing with excel. Not even doing things for actual reasons or being able to completely butcher the software, just for data I make up.

I actually sent a model to some monkeys to work on over the weekend, but now I'm stuck with the Powerpoint, which is even worse. And I still had to write code for them, because apparently kids these days don't know VBA, which I learned in 2003.

I've used plenty of Sheets as well, and I'm thoroughly invested in LibreOffice Calc.

I really dislike Google Sheets other than for smaller projects. Has less features than Excel and requires the internet, which makes large calculations slow, and a full election model nearly impossible.

More like thank you, Dan Bricklin. There would be no Excel had there not been VisiCalc.

Thanks to Excel (and the Visual Basic code within it), a few years ago I was able to create a set of spreadsheets that eliminated five people’s jobs. Cheesy
