I got the Frank Miller/Klaus Janson Daredevil Omnibus a few days ago, and I gotta say it is beeeeeautiful. Artwork like 5 issues in (out of perhaps 30/40-some) is fantastic.

I hate days off.

I wish I could be working all the time, like all the time. Like I wish my office never closed. I even hate sleeping. Days off put me in such a depressed mood.

There is nothing worse than when I'm caught up with everything and can't do anything other than just sit around and think and wait for something to do.

I hate it. I hate days like today.

I had the opportunity to speak to an African-American yesterday (look at my African-American!) at length about some of their life experiences. It was really eye-opening and gave me new perspective on HBCUs, microaggressions, and race relations in general.

yeah I've just spent the last couple of years training my thinking so that I believe I'm being worthless and weak if I'm not being productive, so basically I just shame myself for chilling out or sleeping. But the holidays get to me because I actually don't have anything to do and that stresses me out and makes me feel worthless you know.

Normally I would just spend the entire time off intoxicated but my wife doesn't want me to do that so I'm trying to break the "if I can't work I'm going to get plastered" habit.
