My cousin-in-law passed away yesterday. I usually only saw him a few times a year around the holidays, but I always enjoyed talking to him, especially about politics. Going to my cousin’s house tomorrow to help him sort through some things.

My entire family is gathered right now for three days of memorials to my late grandma. Only my grandma could have had a funeral this fun. We’re currently gathered at a cabin in Flatwoods, WV. Heading to Webster Springs for a memorial service and to inter the ashes at her folks gravesite, before going to her hometown of Sutton.

Also I smoked a joint with my cousins and quashed some beefs. Not a peace pipe but close enough. My uncle is playing his guitar, everyone is trashed (spare my parents ofc).

brah earlier this week sucked, had to go back to Nashville for like 5 days for work stuff, good to say tho  it was worth it because I finally secured this new client and I got to catch The 1975 playing live before I came back home Thursday.

Grandma’s funeral was this morning. It was heavier than expected considering she died in October, but the mood was light overall.

My cousin, who was left mentally handicapped due to a stroke he suffered as a infant following a fall, led us in a spontaneous reciting of the Lord’s Prayer. It literally was the only thing that kept me from losing it.

Put my two best friends on their planes back to China and Mexico today. Teared up a little bit at the airport, won't lie. I've become closer to those two over the course of my one year at Uni than almost any other friends I've ever had. I'll see one of them again in the fall, but the other is back in China for good. Really going to miss him.

After my mom decided to vomit her feelings about the divorce, I told her that there wasn't enough alcohol to deal with her bullmess. Apparently the reason I drink is because I "regret letting my father do what he did to her" (I actually don't and know he's right).
