With the GOP holding (and perhaps gaining) in the Senate, and the Democrats taking the House in this midterm, which chamber of Congress would you rather have - The Senate or The House?

Undoubtedly the Senate because of judicial and cabinet appointments.

Senate. With this President, the most that we can hope for is gridlock. The Senate can stop any legislation, and it can thwart another judicial travesty like Blitzed Kavanaugh.

The Senate so Democrats can’t block judicial appointees

Generally speaking, I prefer Dems to have the House (for budgets) and GOP to have the Senate (for justices).

Especially now that the GOP has established the precedent that whoever has the majority (no matter how narrow) can just do whatever the f*** they want.

It is different because those changes backfired horrendously when the Democrats became the minority.

Yeah they did a great job with the budget the last time they controlled the House....

You are being sarcastic, but yes....it is different.

McConnell had blocked all of Obama's judicial appointments. It was ridiculous.

Every time in my life that the GOP has controlled the White House and Congress, deficits and the debt have done nothing but go up.

I'd rather go into debt letting poor people go to the doctor than letting Steve Mnuchin buy another yacht.

The question didn't ask about control of the White House...it was under a Democratic House that the budget deficit exceeded $1 trillion for the first time.

Voted incorrectly, definitely the Senate has way more power. However if I were serving in Congress I would rather be a member of the House. The more the learn about the Senate the more I hate it.

I'm not overly concerned about deficits/debt. Democratic fiscal priorities >>>> Republican fiscal priorities (with the exception of Planned Parenthood, etc.).

That's done at the state level.
