Yup, looks like the GOP is going to lose the Florida Governor's mansion for the first time in 20 years.

They were really smart with Crist in 2006.

It'll be nice to see the electoral truism of "Democrats can't win NV-GOV/FL-GOV because they haven't in X many cycles!" finally die.

If you throw out the outliers on both sides, everything has been around 6-7 points in favor of Gillum.

Gillum is one point away from 100% support amongst blacks (Currently at 99-1% over DeSantis). Of course, that is unsurprising, but it's nice to see Andrew poking a hole into Kanye's balloon.

So Nelson and Gillum are now running even? Interesting development.

I like how some polls show a close race in both the Sen/Gov race, some show Dems winning easily in both, and some show Gillum winning handily while Nelson lags far behind.

Regardless, it's fairly clear at this point you'd much rather be Gillum/Nelson than DeSantis/Scott.

Why are people so reluctant to move this to Likely D? You can let go, folks.

Best guess is because people have been burned by Florida so many times in the past.

There is a pretty clear advantage built up now.

Yes. Not only that, but polls - at least polling averages - are not that inaccurate in Florida. They did pretty well in gov/presidential races and only missed the Senate races in 2012/2016 by a somewhat comfortable amount (understated the winner).

Yeah, even RCP now moved this to lean Democratic. Andrew Gillum should be the first person to win the governorship since Lawton Chiles' reelection in 1994.

Just watch for that "hidden" GOP vote, because it's become more socially unacceptable in the last four years to vote Republican. He may win, but watch out.

Based on the early vote, Republicans have a tiny lead, I dont see this +6 Gillum electorate voting and 14% of the vote is already in
