Especially now that I am speaker, I think it would be a good idea to set up an office.

I am honoured that the citizens of this great region have re-elected me to a second full term in Fremont’s House of Commons. I would also like to congratulate all the newly elected and re-elected MPs.

I am looking forward to working with the FM-elect Scott and all my fellow MPs to push this great region even further. Let’s make the 10th Parliament our most successful yet!

Statement on Senate transition

As I have been elected to represent Fremont in the Senate, I am preparing to transition this office into a Senate office. I do plan on remaining in the House as Speaker until Inauguration Day (March 1), though it's possible I resign just before that. I want to make sure we can clear the very large queue of bills we currently have, so that the next Speaker doesn't have too much of a burden.

I am currently in the process of writing a bill for the Senate that I plan to have ready for my swearing-in to the Senate. I can't wait to work in Nyman.

Statement on my resignation

I have decided that I will resign from Parliament on Wednesday, the same day VP-elect Lumine is resigning. This is for a couple of reasons:
1) it allows for a special election to take place for both seats simultaneously, which is better for election fatigue purposes than having two in two weeks
2) it will let me transition to the Senate better when I can focus solely on that rather than the duties that come with being Speaker.
