Yes, because Wall Street is back with gambling. I think a recession worse than 2008/09 will happen within 10-15 years. Especially if we don't get smart and start tougher regulation. The US federal debt is also a major problem. And the dollar may lose its status as reserve currency in some years.

Yes of course. Iirc by several standards the 2008/09 recession was worse or equivalent in certain European countries (particularly Greece) than the Great Recession.

A bad response to a 2008 level recession would turn it into a Great Depression.
