Trump/Republicans' new ad is the most racist since the "Willie Horton" in 1988

What's the effect on the races?

This, except it might give Patrick Morrisey and Carol Miller a boost.

I still read most of what goes on. I've been back as an "active" (logging in) member for maybe 2 weeks, mostly doing PM's with MT Treasurer.

It reeks of desperation. Instead of running on his accomplishments he's going after racial resentment and fear.

Republicans hold the house and get a supermajority in the Senate. It’s over folks. We were playing checkers and Trump was playin 4th dimensional chess all along.

It could be a lot.  The more people which call it "racist," the people that are pushed to the Republicans.

BTW: It might be anti-immigrant,but it is not racist.

Hopefully this racist ad will flop as badly as Gillespie's did in the suburban districts and turn more independents off.

It won't matter. Not because of the ad itself, but because ads don't matter anymore.

Might increase Dem enthusiasm a tiiiiiiiiiiiiny bit, but I don’t see how this convinces anyone to vote who wasn’t going to anyway.

Look where it helped Gillespie rack up massive margins though...right on the WV border! Morrisey and Miller must be loving this.

I think that Northam ad of the Gillespie truck owner trying to run over minority children actually helped Gillespie run up those margins.

Based on what?

This stuff was toxic in suburban areas of the country.

First, a person of any race can be Hispanic, so this isn't racist.

Because a lot of people, even in the center, get tired of all "deplorable" type claims.

It reeks of desperation. Instead of running on his accomplishments he's going after racial resentment and fear.

He has no real accomplishments and his campaign has been nothing but resentment and fear from day one.
