Jeb?

That's Jeb! to you.

But it raises the question of whether it would be illegal for him to simultaneously hold two different Senate seats from two different States, and moreover two different states that border each other. ? (Sorry for the ?, what I really mean is !)

If Scott Brown could run in two different states, then what if Jeb! is elected in multiple states? Would he have to pick one seat and then the other one would be filled by special election or appointment? I don't think there is any precedent saying he would have to, so I guess it would ultimately have to go to the Supreme Court.

Remember -- the latest polls happen in the wake of some fanatical Trump supporter sending pipe bombs to a bunch of Democrats and a neo-Nazi mowing down Jews in a synagogue in Pittsburgh. Two horrible acts of domestic terrorism have gotten inept responses from the President.

Bill Clinton handled the bombings of the World Trade Center and the Murrah federal building well.  Obama did well in dealing with tornadoes and hurricanes, even stopping his campaigning to coordinate aid with a Republican Governor in 2012.

The House and Senate elections have become by default referenda on the President.

I refuse to get my hopes about this because if Bredesen wins he's going to be the Zell Miller/Joe Lieberman of the Democratic majority. I'd rather see this as a good sign for Beto (whether accurately or not.)

I’m sick of sharp partisans of all kind. I think he would be open minded to all good ideas and not oppose a good idea just because it comes from the Republicans BUT at the same time he could not “suck it up” and vote for something he doesn’t want too just to appear tolerable to conservatives BECAUSE he’s unlikely to run for re-election

I don't think Bredesen would be nearly as awful as Miller/Lieberman if he won.
