HarrisX and The Hill teamed up to do a poll about the 2020 candidates for the Democratic nomination. Yes, I know you will criticize the fact that #BetoMania is not in this poll. But, here it is.

Biden 25%
Sanders 18%
Clinton 12%
Bloomberg 4%
Harris 4%
Warren 4%
Booker 3%
None of the Above 30%

I know that polls this far out shouldnt be considered, but it is highly interesting on how poorly Sanders preforms in the South(understandable), and his strength in the West(huh?).

Not super surprising, the west is super progressive (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado).

Not a bad poll, because everyone in it (but Bloomberg) is going to run.

Clinton needs to stop being included in these, she is not running.

It will be very interesting to see exactly how the polls change when Beto is included... who he takes votes from- does he immediately go to the very top of the list, etc.

Easy. That is quite the scenario that occurred in the 2016 primaries : Sandera did poorly in the South and was strong in the West and that’s why he won Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon and Washington by double digits.

Why are people so obsessed with Hillary. The media's continued love for Hillary freaks me out.

Sanders really need to do better in the Northeast and Midwest. And to have a path to the nomination, he needs a third "person" who can steal / split the vote in the south after a good result in SC and potentially disrupting votes in the Midwest and North East if Sanders continues to poll not good enough there. Disappointed so many people pick Biden. We need an ambitious man who could make the Democratic base enthusiastic about the nominee, not an old dinosaur who needs to convince the not so few people left that want a moderate from Washington and who's been around for 40 years, and who's going to be prone of making gaffes.

But overall, this poll is better for him than the previous polls. Also, if this poll is true, Warren is done (after her terrible general election match-ups and now this kind of support, she's done. She has too much baggage). Bad poll for Harris, but i think she'll do well when she actually runs (esp. because many people and tv channels (and potentially establishment) are going to endorse her).

One of Sanders' disadvantages is that the first primary from the west is Nevada (but i've heard they were going to move California in order to favour Harris). On super tuesday, you only have Colorado from the west, and you have 5 states from the South on Super Tuesday (after you already got SC). It's in reality not fair, and designed to favour moderate and establishment candidates. I don't understand why people from the West are upset with how things are going. I know i would strongly be in favour of the Cascadian independence movement if i was from the West Coast.

It's not love. They like to keep her in the mix so they can use it as justification to keep kicking her around.

This is likely a result of Abercrombie/Griffith/Bustamante/Klobuchar/Rahall supporters whose first choice for President was not included in the poll and who aren't willing to settle for their second choice.
