Parts of the English Wikipedia article seem to subconsciously perpetuate the narrative introduced by Nazi propaganda in 1938. That's of course not your fault, Tender, so don't take it personally. I'm just a bit shocked that a relevant article on Wikipedia would present the facts in this way.
As if a simultaneous outbreak of these proportions wasn't organized and instigated by parts of the state and party apparatus in the first place. Who arrested the Jews and brought them to the concentration camps, etc.? I don't want to deny the misdeeds of a sizeable share of the German populace, but the narative of a spontaneous outbreak of popular rage stems directly from Nazi propaganda.
Even more blatant Nazi propaganda, should be put in quotes.
