Neutral, Democrats gain 10-20 house seats, while Republicans gain 3-5 Senate seats.

Medium.  Dems win 30-35 House seats, tie it in the Senate, and win 7-9 governorships.

What was the consensus in 2010? Small, medium, or large wave?

If it wasn't for being handicapped in Michigan, North Carolina, and Ohio, among others states; I would have said that this would be a large Democratic wave. But with that taken into account, it will be a medium wave. They will take back the House, net several Governor's mansions, and maybe even take the Senate-but only if everything goes right.

Dems win 20-40 seats in the house and no net changes in the Senate

Screw it, I will go for broke. I predict a massive wave (40+) and we look back at it and feel stupid for being so conservative with our estimates.

I'd say medium in the House and Governors and Neutral in the Senate. I think we tied success in the House to success in the Senate too much, and we didn't consider the possibility that we could perform great in the house but not in the senate (even though we still won 2 seats)
