I'm guessing she'll be fine in the end. A bunch of these will grandstand in the caucus vote and then fall in line for the floor vote.

The more I hear from the Pelosi haters, the more I support Pelosi.

Hope she mercilessly crushes the rabble and punishes them for their insolence.

No one who opposes Pelosi on the floor should ever be given any position of leadership. No mercy for the traitors.

I'm actually embarrassed that I supported Tim Ryan's challenge to Pelosi two years ago. It's clear now that it had nothing to do with #populism Purple heart or with the House Democrats' problems gaining back ground electorally.

Queen Nancy all the way.

A "1-year pledge" is unacceptable. She needs to serve at least one full term, and honestly possibly two if a Democrat wins in 2020 and we need a strong Speaker to shepherd legislation through.

Hoyer absolutely needs to go, though. Hopefully they replace him with a fresher face who isn't a Blue Dog.

This is so f**king dumb.

The purpose of the DCCC should be to elect Democrats, not to be a mutual protection cartel.

There is nothing wrong with running Feehan or Londrigan again in races that were decided by less then 1%, lol. Just because it doesn't fit your racist hick narrative doesn't mean it can't happen.

This means all her key opponents will rally.

This strikes me as a reasonable deal. At least it takes Hoyer and Clyburn out of the picture along with Pelosi.

How sure are we that this could pass?

The personal assurance that put her over the top seems to be that she's committed herself to staying on for a max of two more terms.

But Hoyer and Clyburn are going to be free to whip against it.

This could be nothing more than a verbal agreement, really.

I think she wants to change the rules of the caucus?

If she brings it to a caucus vote, she'll win. Hoyer and Clyburn are lightweights compared to her.
