I don't have a problem with them. They're okay. Some of the peeps give great answers sometimes.

I actually like the idea, but I dislike it when it's bandwagoned, and the one or two people who originally started them are drowned out by dozen(s) of other people. So I agree with you - let them have their fun. Give their AMA at least a couple days before starting another one.

I'd probably have done one myself by now but I don't want to start a flood of AMAs nor jump into one either.

I also wanted to make one before realizing there is nothing interesting about me.

An AMA doesn't have to be just about your life or w/e. Sometimes I use people's AMAs to get their opinions on various subjects.

The primary accelerating geist of the last ~14 years has been to make each individual their own center of attention, aided by machinery and telecommunications. This is the natural consequences--more AMA threads than actual questions. In the sense that servers soak up energy, AMA threads are a threat to the environment.

I seem to recall AMA threads being a trend at some point in the past as well, so these things probably just go in cycles.

I don't understand the logic of starting one when there are already a half dozen on the first page.  Do you not realize how "sheep" that is?  Never be the 7th person to follow a trend, it's not a good look.  Are you fans of the "popular sports team" too?  What a boring life you people live, letting other people pick the things you do for you.

Its my fault. I wanted to do an AMA for fun, and, well, people bandwagoned. Hopefully it dies out.

Some of you people are really uptight and take this way too seriously.
