I am hereby appointing North Carolina Yankee to the Class II Senate seat that was vacated by Haslam2020.

For background, since this vacancy came within 8 weeks of the next scheduled election, I am allowed to appoint a replacement with the Chamber's approval. Due to Haslam's resignation and Lechassuer's current absence, I am requesting an immediate vote begin so that the South can be represented ASAP. Yankee is the most qualified candidate possible and I have NO doubt that he will do an excellent job representing our region. Thank you!

I had not expected this to occur quite so fast. I even had a multi-paragraph post I was formulating in my head to post in here stating my objectives, priorities etc. These were basically the elements incorporated within the PM I sent to the Governor.

I am deeply humbled by the confirmation and I look forward to working you as members of the Chamber of Delegates to ensure that your concerns and priorities are being voiced in the Atlasian Senate.

In the coming days I hope to be in contact with all of you on this point.
