Peanut for Lincoln Assembly: A Breath of Fresh Air!

Today, I declared my candidacy for the upcoming elections for Lincoln Assembly.

I am running because I am concerned for our region, and because I believe in the potential that we have that we need to tap onto and exploit for the good of everyone, and we cannot do that with an inactive Assembly that does not channel its constituents' concerns. I will be a diligent, responsible, present member, always working hard and working a lot to, in cooperation with the other members of the Assembly, deliver results, and create new and use old ways for Lincoln citizens to make their voice heard.

I will be an active member. I promise to participate actively in the Assembly process, and never miss a vote. I will also be a breath of fresh air and a fresh face, to breath new life in a process that has grown inactive and unrepresentative, channeling my vision and optimism into hard work and a progressive, bridge-building representation for the citizens of Lincoln.

I am running with the goal of making Lincoln a fairer, better place, first of all by breathing new life into our democratic and deliberative process, replacing inactivity with progress and hard work, and secondly by espousing and championing policies from which every citizen of Lincoln can benefit to create a better, more representative, region, where everyone has an equal oportunity for participation and growth.

Let's make a better, more representative, more active, revitalized Lincoln!

The Lincoln I want, and the Lincoln I will work hard for in the Assembly, is built around 3 key values: Progress, Participation, and Cooperation.

1. Progress: I support policies to help Lincoln advance. I believe strongly in the key role government can have in bettering conditions like transportation or infrastructure and in giving everyone a fair shake, a Lincoln with equal opportunity for all and where the conditions, lifestyle, and environment of every citizen are the best possible. I will steadfastly push for such policies, for such advancement, in order to give every citizen the best Lincoln, a Lincoln of tomorrow, a beautiful Lincoln, and one where everyone has opportunity for advancement and growth.

2. Participation: Especially in the light of the recent inactivity crisis, it is pivotal for Lincoln's advancement that we participate actively in the civic process. As stated before, I will be an active member of the Assembly, respecting the will of my constituents and working hard so we can open new, varied, fresh interesting methods to keep Lincoln's democracy moving into the future. I am a fresh face, and as such, I will work for fresh and modern methods to ensure citizens' proper participation (ballot measures, town halls, etc...)

3. Cooperation: Lincoln is best when we work together. I strongly believe that common-sense cooperation, active participation in the Assembly and listening to other people from wherever they come from lend themselves to better decision-making and legislation. We must make sure that everyone is heard, and that we move Lincoln into the future with consideration of everyone in it.

Lincoln deserves an active Assembly that will work hard. Go to the Voting Booth and vote Yes on the recall efforts so Lincoln can get a breath of fresh air!

Thanks to everyone from Lincoln who cast their votes! You all built a new Assembly. A huge thanks to every citizen who has put their trust in me to be an Assemblyman! I'm excited to work together with both of my new fellow members to create a newer Lincoln and to move forward from the days of inactivity and indifference into a new time where everyone is included in Lincoln's civic process.

Thank you, Lincoln!

Tonight, the polls open once again to elect the 15th Lincoln Assembly. During my (admittedly short) time representing the people of Lincoln, we've brought back the legislature.  We have been active in this twilight of the 14th Assembly, bringing bills to the floor and making Lincoln better, together, for every citizen in this region.

I will be honored to receive your support this weekend, in order to continue building a Lincoln for the future, that is not crumbling from inactivity, but shining from your participation. Thank you to Lincoln for letting me serve them this short time, and I ask to let me serve you yet again in the Assembly, working towards policies that benefit us all!

Thank you!

Congrats to your win, Peanut. Make Lincoln proud by doing a good job.

Thanks!

And I also thank every Lincoln citizen who showed to the polls this weekend. Now, as we begin the 15th Assembly, we can begin to rescue Lincoln. We will pass legislation to help every student, every citizen, every family in this region. I'm looking forward to working with wxtransit once again, and with JaydonBrooks in this new Assembly, to pass legislation and to debate topics of importance for everyone in this fair region.
