We might celebrate Thanksgiving more like Canadians do, but that's about it. Plymouth was but one of several Puritan attempts at settling in the New England area prior to the well funded and organized efforts of the Massachusetts Bay Company. It stands out in our history as being the earliest of the few that survived, but the major push for Puritan settlement of New England was in the 1629-1640 era when Charles I was persecuting the Puritans at home and there was no Parliament in session to give them hope of moderating his antagonism to them.
You'd have to change Charles' behavior to not have the Puritans colonize New England and if you change that, you change far more than the history of Colonial America.
