Democrat: white elderly progressive college-educated woman who strongly cares about feminism and other social justice issues.
Republican: either a wealthy blue collar man who works in the trades or a RINO from a quaint town who commutes into Boston everyday.

Cook County IL

Republican:

Rich white guy from Barrington. Family has lived there for generations and money has been passed down. Summers are spent at the country club or in the Door. Voted for Kasich in the primary and was Never Trump until November, when he voted for Trump. He told his wife he voted for Clinton, though, because she did. First Democrat she ever voted for.

OR

Blue collar, white male worker from Oak Lawn. Was straight Democrat until somewhere between 2008 and 2016, when he started voting primarily Republican. Mom and Dad are turning in their graves. Loves Trump, but still votes for some local Dems like Pat Quinn. Loves Garry McCarthy. "He's what this city needs" (even though Oak Lawn is not the city).

Democrat

Impossible. Too many of us, all in different shades, religions, ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and professions.

2010? I can't imagine WWC backlash in chicagoland in 2008.

Depends where I am

County 1

GOP: Some hyper rich executive or some kind, probably Indian or Asian, lives in the suburbs, mostly moderate in nature.

-or-

Bitter old white person who remembers the good old days before "The Revolution" that hit the whole area in the 60's and still whines about radicals, moved as far away from the water into a suburb as possible.

Dem:  Literally every SJW-Millennial stereotype in the book, also every liberal sellout yuppie stereotype too.

County 2

GOP: Either a farmer, an evangelical, or an educated, white civil engineer...or all of the above.

Dem: Transplant from Houston, Austin, or Dallas.

Can't be SF, there's no real suburbs inside the County, you have to cross the bridges or head south down the peninsula. The rich in the county from my experience are divided into two. There are the Old residents who live somewhere with a nice view, in a beautiful house built before the depression. This is often around the Presidio or on the Bay facing side of Twin Peaks. Then there is the new tech money residents, who live with expansive apartments downtown - if they want to live in the city rather then one of those nice peninsula suburbs like Burlingame. Both areas vote hard Dem though.

Cook County doesn't need explanation, but thank you anyway for doing so.

Stark County, OH:

Democrat - Economically struggling African-American in Canton or Alliance. In reality this also includes some economically struggling white people in Canton or Alliance (though much less than before in the age of Trump).

Republican - White. Confederate flag in window. Can barely pay mortgage but insists they are just "going through a rough patch". Is ok with black people but can't stand "insert more derogatory term". In reality, most Stark county Rs are middle to upper middle class parents in the suburbs ringing Canton. Also includes the remaining rural population.

Howdy Neighbor! Smiley

North Canton fits the latter definition of Rs.

That’s actually where I’m from lol. The area that I live in has always been reliably republican. And even in the age of Trump it’s still the “base” of the GOP here. However the republican trend among the “stereotypical” republican voters has turned this county from purple to red. I held out hope that it would swing back, but Dewine won it by double digits.

Yep, Stark was the most disappointing county result in the Senate race: it voted for Renacci, even if narrowly. Voting for Renacci at all is far worse than DeWine at any margin. If current trends hold, it's going, going, gone. Sad

Stark had a 17.64 R swing in 2016, more than double of Summit's 7.13 and even more than Portage 15.38. Canton is still declining, so I don't have much hope of it coming back. I'd like to know how much of a D swing there may have been in North Canton, because if the city swung R even slightly than the county can be safely written off as Safe R.

Dallas County TX

GOP- Racist old white man in his late 50s, greasy grey hair, crap ton of money, park cities resident, powerful lawyer or rich businessman with questionable business practices, typically has a family, mostly older children, often cheats, very shallow.

Dem- Many types, Hipsters and Yuppies in uptown and Deep Ellum comfortable but not rich, pissed off angry anglo suburbanites (relatively recent phenomenon) lot of East Dallas talking here relatively upper-middle income, lower income African-Americans from South Dallas very reliable, working class hispanic neighborhoods around West Dallas, Irving, and some areas of Garland a portion of Mesquite, Asian-Americans and Indo/Pak Americans upper-middle income (more recent-ish) mostly all in Northwest and North Dallas County especially in Carrolton and Coppell and Richardson.

Democrat - a middle class, middle aged black woman with a 3 bedroom/two bathroom home on a cul de sac. Mid level management at a bank and divorced.

Republican - Country club type in Dunwoody, increasingly alienated by Trump but still votes GOP at the local level. Upper middle class and works in pharmaceuticals.

Montgomery County, Pennsylvania

Democrat: Middle aged white woman with a graduate degree. She stopped working for a couple years after her kids were born but now volunteers part time at her kid's school. Probably voted for Arlen Specter back in the day. Previously politically ambivalent, has attended a half dozen protests since Trump was inaugurated and refuses to ever vote for a Republican again.

Republican: White guy in his 50s. Commutes to a finance job in the city but lives in a big house out in the suburbs. Has a strong dislike of new construction in his neighborhood. Strongly republican since the 90s but still considered himself to have an independent streak. Was a never Trumper and left his ballot blank in 2016 because he hated both candidates. He didn't like Barletta or Wagner this year and Trump has been worse than he hoped, so he voted Democratic for multiple offices for the first time ever. Almost certainly going to be a Democrat in 5 years.

Bronx County, NY

Republican 1: Old (WW-II era), Jewish (possibly secular in Riverdale), prone to conspiracy theories seeing anti-semitism everywhere. Not too conservative on most issues, but single issue voter on middle eastern wars (very much pro whatever Likud is arguing for, whether its the Iraq war 10 years back, or Iran today). Also, orthodox of any age in a small enclave near Morris Park.

Republican 2: Italian background yuppie, in the Country Club and surrounding areas of eastern Bronx. Prototypical suburban white flight type.

Democrat: everybody else, literally everybody including blacks, Hispanics, Jews, Asians, whites (88-10 in 2016, less close in 2012).

County 1: Oooh so close, oh so close, but not quite. One last hint: The county seat is where The Black Panthers formed, yet still that seat is overshadowed by one small town to the north and another town to the west.

County 2: Yup, it's Brazos.

Hmm, I didn't know that county has any real hyper-rich executive presence. I only know the county name because of Mythbusters. One of the 6 people I based this person on went to a private liberal arts school in the county seat.

Democrat: Immigrant, either Indian or Latino. Supports better school funding and is pretty involved in the community.

Republican: Italian-American and wants to make sure you know it. Works in the automotive repair industry. Informs you of their political opinions on the bus.

LMAO!!! Funnily enough, similar people also exist here in Sydney.

I'll do one for Sydney...

Liberal: White, white collar, middle or middle upper class suburbanite from Northern Sydney. Hates their taxes going towards "dole bludgers out west", sends their kids to private schools. Love their suburb because it's a "nice, leafy, quiet area" Wink. Enjoys sports like cycling or golfing.

Labor: Working class, lives in Western Sydney, if they're white, they're a bogan who complains that the government isn't doing enough to support them, and thinks the Liberals are a "Wanker party who's trying to cut my benefits", supports Labor because they're "for the working man", likely to be in a Union. If they're a minority they'll typically be poor Pacific Islander, African or Near Eastern migrants. Conservative on issues like same sex marriage but vote Labor because they think Liberals will cut social services.

Greens: Basically a stereotypical hipster/urban progressive. Lives in an inner, trendy suburb like Newtown or Balmain, 20something or 30something, Uni student, drinks organic vegan chai whateverthe latte's at gluten free organic vegan cafe's, passionate about environmentalism yet is a city slicker. Goes to festivals and takes drugs like ecstasy.

One Nation: Basically "Dey tuk er jerbz." types. WWC from Western Sydney who abandoned Labor because they thought they weren't economically nationalist enough and too soft on social issues and immigration. Often loud, rough, and politically incorrect.

Side note: I have been doing a lot of research into "human ethnic group families" (i.e., trying to make maps of the various subgroups of the language families of the world), and I was shocked how many Italians there are in both Australia and South America.

Morris County

Rep: Ancestral Rep, who is quite moderate

Dem: An ancestral Republican, turned RINO, who was alienated by the party's Hardline conservatism on social issues and by Trump's brash style
