Beto has been invited to New Hampshire. And so it begins.

I guess the question we all have to be wondering, since Beto is already beating Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts, how much is he beating her by so far in New Hampshire?

New Hampshire Democrats invite rising star Beto O'Rourke to the crucial presidential primary state

I see the Far Less Exiting Josh Lyman took a swing at Beto today. I predict MUH LOSER will be a common theme of Atlas the next 2 years.

If Trump's achilles heel is Suburban women... That weaken would be amplified vs Beto (who would likely be one of the strongest Dem nominee's with Suburban woman. (I think Beto would also pull in some of the Under 45 suburban women in swing states ... that are still barely supporting Trump).

I'm a bit nervous about his vote to Fastrack TPP and deregulate wall street, but otherwise same.

Beto will fit right in with the other early 40-something leaders of the free world...

If he did support TPP & deregulating Wall Street then he has no chance of winning the EC. This will be another PV win & EC loss.

I think he is a good candidate but people have to look into his record & policy positions etc. He doesn't have the qualifications to become the President if you consider every Dem nominee has been a Gov. or Senator atleast.

Cam he fight against Trump when Trump will make it an ugly fight. Let us see !

I'm sure running protectionist and trying to win back West Virginia is a great strategy in a year when the Democratic Party overwhelmingly supports free trade and overall support for it is at a record high. Top tier move to adopt your opponent's unpopular positions in an attempt to appeal to their base. Definitely won't anger your actual base whose wishes are being ignored.

Can we stop with these fake goal posts? If Beto can run the campaign he ran in Texas on a national scale, Trump is toast. The suburbs will rebuke Trump and the liberal epicenters will have huge turnout. Some random vote on same random trade deal is really going to make people stay home. Roll Eyes

Free trade being a good concept doesn’t mean blindly supporting bad trade deals.

The unions are also against immigration. Does that mean the Democrats should abandon immigration reform and start supporting the wall?

Outside of guest worker provisions and holding employers accountable, they aren't.

Wasn't TPP actually a good deal, and one that most importantly strengthened trade union regulations?

Nope. It wasn't about trade. The neoliberals won that already. It was about giving all the power away to corporations.
