Beto abandons Liberal Kansas and drives through fog:

What a NEW DEMOCRAT, abandoning LIBERAL and instead embracing CONSERVATISM.
Beto clearly has never experienced the wondrous joys of tule fog.

Anyone else tired of the Beto shtick? He comes off as very sanctimonious and preachy, you are a politician not some guru or life coach.

He's over-exposing himself for sure.

Article on Beto's refusal to endorse the Democrat in TX-23, due to his personal friendship with Hurd. Wonder if this will hurt him at all. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/19/us/politics/beto-orourke-democrats-president.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&fbclid=IwAR0xEJNT2ohMuhEncFWjMPQZP1oG3I1XOe5HbLsM0q35F55MXq0QwpCnr9o

No wonder BRTD loves him.

Nah its a great one. He's not a partisan hack (mostly) and hes not willing to throw a friend under the bus regardless of what letter is in front of his name.

Not sure what the issue is here. It's not like he pulled a Henry Cuellar and actively campaigned for Hurd; if I was in the same position as him I would have done the exact same thing. Throwing aside friendships for partisan hackery would not be an admirable trait, and it would make me like Beto less rather than more.

I doubt the primary electorate cares who his friend is. POTUS is the leader of the party, and he/she campaigns for their party.

I'm pretty sure that he would endorse the Democrat if he became the POTUS nominee to make sure that he wouldn't get attacked by the Berniecrats and other Democrats and the media.

Nobody is going to care about any of this by the time he actually starts running. He's just keeping himself relevant.

Beto has visited the town of Ulysses Kansas. Interestingly, it has the same bad-ass name as his son.

Maybe Beto should have gone the Ted Cruz route with the beard. Helps to connect with the rural WWC voters.

Beto has jumped the shark. Should have declared in his Texas Senate race concession speech.

I don't get this to be honest.  If he wants to build a political career, he should run for the other Texas Senate seat next year.

He'd be overwhelmingly likely to lose again, and that's not the kind of start you want to build a career on.  He'd be better off finding a job where he could focus on organizing and building up the Texas Democratic Party and doing Latino outreach.  Then he could challenge Cruz again in a couple of years and beat him this time.  In the interim, maybe the next Democratic administration offers him a cabinet post or something so he can attach his name to some kind of actual policy accomplishments.

Pretty wild story about the town of Ulysses via Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulysses,_Kansas

The town had no means of paying off bond holders for city improvements and in fact some grifters had run off with money before any improvements were made, so in 1909 then literally dragged the town two miles west.

The more I hear about Beto, the less I like about him.

We do not need a both sides-ist as our nominee.

This is something that I kinda care about. As long as Gina Ortiz-Jones or any other person who is the Democratic nominee isn't found out to be a terrible person of some kind you shouldn't have a problem endorsing that candidate. People part of popular political families broke off to support the opposite of what they support.

My problem with that video is he's covering a Ramones song, and thus a right wing band.
