I too await the day when Túrin slays the fallen Valar, freeing Yavanna to reignite the light of the Two Trees. For then all of Arda may be restored. Man and Elf will awake from slumber and together we shall sing a new song, united as the Children of Ilúvatar.

Absolutely anyone can be capable of great evil, but do evil acts alone make a person evil?

Or is there, perhaps, forgiveness, or some stipulations that can make someone who has done evil acts a decent human being?


If an evil act must be done for the greater good, is it truly evil, or rather a sign of society's ever strict moral standards?

If I murder a murderer, am I good or evil?

If rape a rapist, am I good or evil?

If I'm forced to kill innocent civilians in war, who was truly evil in the end, I myself, or the powers that be?

If a man is evil but saves the life of another, is he no longer evil?

These are the questions that must be asked and debated, for us to truly understand if OP is evil.

There are no easy answers to this question, but with enough time and thoughtfulness, perhaps one day we can figure out what it truly means to be available.
