Yeah, men can certainly be feminists (pro equality too). Some of us like women, and therefore want them to be equal with men.

I'm the same way.  Sure I support a woman's right to choose, make equal (or more) pay than me.

dazzelman/dazzelman, definitely.  I hate the way nclib implies that you're not equal if you don't adopt a hyphenated name.  He also implied that women with hyphenated names are smarter than those without, which is just crazy.  Dazzelman has a few positions I disagree with, but he can back them up with sound arguments.

Flyers, I'd seriously shut up if I were you - especially after your mind-numbingly stupid statement about wishing that younger women would get abortions so that they would be marketable as potential dates or whatever the hell kind of bullsh**t you spewed out there blah blah blah. Go pat your crony on the back elsewhere; I can see ulterior motives very easily, including your apparent support for abortions, BRTD's support for pro-sex feminists, et cetera. Honestly, I'm not that stupid, and I don't personally tolerate men who suck up to feminist groups which are quite clearly not promoting "equality" at all. Unlike a lot of women who get sucked into feminist groups, I have a backbone, and I can stand up for my own rights.

I don't need to change my avatar, and you're obviously just paranoid because I don't support ultra-liberal Democrats. Go ask Max Power, afleitch, ilikeverin, Alcoun, Gabu, et cetera if I'm constantly "nailing them to crosses". If someone says something stupid, of course I'm going to react.

I don't personally see the political incorrectness in "secretary", but then again, it's being phased out along with "steward" and "stewardess" (both of which were replaced with "flight attendant"). Yeah, it seems pretty insulting to change the name of something just because it is associated with women.  I don’t get how this benefits anybody.  I think it’s more insulting to women to change the name of something because you don’t want it to be associated with them, than to keep something that is.  Plus it’s just a longer name to remember.  What will they change next, Nurse?

You're right.  It's more politically correct stupidity.  There's nothing wrong with the term "secretary," nor is there anything wrong with the terms "steward" and "stewardess."  I will continue to use these terms. 

I also wonder at the stupidity of people who supposedly are champions of women changing a term because it's associated with women.  Isn't that claiming that women are inferior?

I have to say that, as in the "election" between me and BRTD, I am very appreciative of all the votes that I have gotten.  I am also surprised and gratified by the magnitude of the results so far.
