I'm just curious why you seem to think it's morally wrong to stop caring about the fate of people who are weak, never treated you well, and never will.

Sometimes you just need to cut your losses and give up on helping people. Let whatever is going to happen to them happen, because they created that situation for themselves and won't learn anything if they don't suffer the consequences of their behavior.

I can’t remember him ever making a post that I actually found interesting, or informative, or that made a generally noteworthy contribution to a topic. If it’s an act, it’s an incredibly boring one. If this is just who he is, I kind of feel sorry for him because he’s so one-dimensional and stale. Surprised I hadn’t put him on ignore already since I auto-ignored his posts awhile ago.

He’s not engaging enough to be either an HP or FF, he just kind of exists and that’s it.

I will say this about the Goose: beyond all the white noise posts about "bruh what if Pitbull did X, Y, and Z" and what not, there still is a burgeoning interest in ideals that I'm glad to be seeing nurished. I suspect Hillgoose will hop and drop neoconservative social darwinism as he gets older.

He's alright more intelligent than Kyle Kashuv for example.

Okay but here's the thing. I'm not a Social Darwinist.

I support government programs to help poor children totally. Kids can't help it if their parents are poor. But I think that adults government benefits are fair game. I'd prefer to see government programs to help adults (including Social Security) cut to nothing before programs to help poor children get cut at all.

Beggars can't be choosers, and if you're going to get benefits you have to play the government's game to get those benefits, preferably including drug tests. Cutting off benefits to people who take advantage of the system while not attempting to improve their lives isn't Social Darwinism, it's just not allowing yourself (and the taxpayer) to be walked all over by meth addicts living in trailers who believe they are victims, who don't want to get better, and who never will get better.

Take this scenario: You have a cousin named Linda Ray. Linda Ray is from Kentucky and she's an alcoholic. You hope she can turn her life around, so you let her move in with you after she gets evicted from her trailer. You tell her that she needs to get a job, but she just hangs around your house for the next three months, letting bottles pile up everywhere around your house, and doesn't even attempt to get a job. You threaten to evict her, but she still doesn't get a job. At that point, after her blatant disrespect of you and taking advantage of you for three long months, is it really your responsibility to try to help her anymore, when there is clearly nothing you can do and obvious that she doesn't want to get better at all?
