Still Texas, even if his percentage shrinks.

TN seems like a good bet based on the numbers from 2016. There is still more ground for Republicans to gain with the rural hick vote in TN. There are a lot of heavily white candidates where Hillary got 15%+ or even 20%+, and that can definitely drop further.

This. The Dem nominee will be outrunning Hillary among suburban whites in Texas. No Dem will match Bredesen's performance, and there's plenty of room for the bottom to fall out in rural Tennessee.

Probably Tennessee, although it would be Texas if Trump is winning big.

if Trump wins election or loses very narrowly, it would likely be Texas. If Trump gets beaten soundly, then it will likely be a state like Oklahoma or Tennessee or possibly Kentucky or Alabama. Those states I suspect will still have significant Trump margins while Texas could get really close or even swing in such a scenario.

Was going to say it has to be Texas, no question, but after seeing those numbers, IDK.  Very plausible Texas moves hard against him while Tennessee moves toward him in 2020.  Going with Tennessee.

Are you saying that Trump's raw vote margins in all of these states will be identical? If not, I think you must pick one state which you believe his raw vote margin (not his net vote percentage) will be the greatest.

I'd love to see your predictions for D.C. and Texas, considering that Trump's raw vote margin will be exactly the same in both.

Anyway, obviously Tennessee.

Going to bump this poll from late 2018.

I thought Tennessee at the time, but, with Bernie Sanders as the likely Democratic nominee, I think the bleeding in the Texas suburbs slows down enough to keep the answer as Texas to this.
