Tester won with a majority of the vote with 3.5 points over Rosendale.

Manchin won with under 50% of the vote, and 3.3 points over Morrisey.

In what? The Presidency? If so, yes.

No, i was pretty shocked Tester did so well and Manchin did so poorly. I had just assumed personal popularity would carry Manchin much further than it actually did.

No, I thought Manchin would end up between 53% and 55%, while Tester is somewhere between 49% and 52%. I was right on Tester, but overestimated Manchin. However, I wish I could trade him for Nelson or McCaskill.

Yes. Manchin always had a higher ceiling than Tester but also a much lower floor. Tester would have been the only Romney state Democrat now if Jenkins had won the R nomination in WV, which, along with OH, was definitely a missed opportunity for the GOP.

Well, Brown is a pretty strong incumbent. I think even with Kasich, there would have been no guarantee to knock him off.

No, I did not. I thought Manchin would win by ~8-12 points, and possibly get into the high 50s, whereas Tester would win with a plurality and by 3 points or less. Manchin's underperformance was astounding, but not too surprising in hindsight, given that he was the Democratic Senator running in the most Trump-friendly state this year.

Nope, Tester performed about where I expected him too, but Manchin like every other Red State Toss-up sans Tester and Beto, performed about 4-6 points worse than I expected.

No
1. Rosendale worst nominee, than Morissey
2. WV more red, than MT

Yes. In fact, I thought Tester would narrowly win and Manchin would narrowly lose.
