God does play dice, tho he sometimes rig them. Indeed, the Urim and the Thummim had an important role in early Judaism. However, Einstein had a very deterministic viewpoint which explains why he objected to both quantum mechanics and to religion. If he'd been raised Calvinist instead of Jewish, he might well have had a different opinion of religion.
I tend to have a more deterministic view than the free will philosophy/religion than the one in which I grew up. My childhood conditioning certainly were the roots, but my wings have set me free.
