I didn't realize that Tennessee is the last state to inaugurate governors.  Ours is always on a Saturday, which I like, because it lets me attend without having to take off work.  Hopefully, I'll be able to get up to Nashville for Lee's inauguration!

Her speech was amazing. One of the best inaugural addresses I've ever heard. Both poetic and rallying, it was refreshing to hear after 8 years of her dolt of a predecessor. She's going to make a fantastic governor.

Her speech was honestly amazing. I've rarely heard any politician ever speak that concisely and aggressively on climate change, and she included humor in a way I didn't see during the campaign.

Maine is in store for good things. I can't wait.

I haven't seen this yet:

CONGRATULATIONS to Governor ANDREW CUOMO of New York for his third term inauguration on January 1st. Since he has a Democratic state senate now, he'll do an even greater job.

Thrilled for Governor Gavin Newsom in a few hours. And that he finally decided to move into the historic Governor's Mansion. But I'm a little bit saddened over Jerry Brown's departure, because he has been the greatest governor in CA history. Thank you Governor Brown for your service.

Josh Kaul called out Vos, Fitzgerald and Walker during his inauguration speech with them in the building to a standing ovation.  Beautiful.

Governor Tony Evers
Lt Governor Mandela Barnes
Attorney General Josh Kaul
State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski.

Love it!

Larry Householder (R) just became Speaker of the House again in Ohio after constructing a bi-partisan collation made up of 26 Democrats (majority of the caucus) and 26 Republicans (minority of the cacus). He is planning on giving Democrats added power in the minority in the new session.

Governor Newsom is sworn in now. Congrats to him and also Governor Steve Sisolak of Nevada! The first Democrat to lead the Silver State since 1999.

I will greatly miss Jerry Brown. Hope he enjoys a long life and stays in public.

I'm pretty dissapointed in Brown for not heeding the call to empty CA death row before leaving office.

Yes, she's definitely one to watch. Maybe even VP in 2020, but that's most likely a bit early.

Yesterday, Ned Lamont was sworn in as governor of Connecticut. Muhloy is finally gone. Good luck Ned, you're one of my favorite gubernatorial newcomers.

MSNBC moderator Joe Scarborough, he resides in the state, gave a concert at the inauguration ball. Yes, he is a freetime musican. And not even a bad one.

Ughhh is right. I hate him so much. He is probably my new least favorite Governor in the country, and he just took office. He's a perfect fit for the state that elected him.

IF he is perfect fit for the state (and not YOUR state to boot) - why hate? Governor must fit the state, doesn't he? And it's only natural, that people of the state elected a person, who fits THEM.
