Clintonland hates her though.

I have a better grip on where she stands and what drives her than, say, Kamala Harris; but I think she would be a riskier bet in a general election.

Just not true. People from the left and right who deride Gillibrand for "opportunism" (the loudest misogynistic dogwhistle in politics, meaning ambition but female) would easily support any of these flip-floppers.
