Glad to see I'm not the only one who's lost maps; I contacted them about it but I've been waiting to hear back.

They've made some changes to the program.  It could be that they weren't able to make the changes they wanted and maintain compatibility with existing maps,  The product is in beta and it's not ready for prime time yet.

Yea this is to be expected at this stage. I really hope it gets the bugs worked out of it and thus I am certainly willing to be patient while they work through this.

I really dislike the changes to the graphical user interface of the program. I felt that 2.5 was actual perfection in the interface. I really wanted it to remain the same.

I thought Windows XP was perfection in terms of a graphical user interface, but Microsoft thought otherwise.

A big consideration has to be that the program is no longer using Silverlight, which is another Micro&oft product left for dead that no one is supporting. As a result there are a number of changes that are probably unavoidable, while some others are by choice.

Speaking of DRA 2020, it's down right now Tongue

I made a 2020 MT Redistricting map with 2 districts. One has "even" partisanship and the other has a "Good Republican" Bias. I made it more based on Geography though.

The New District Lines is screwed up and the left-to-right scroll bar is gone, making it impossible to change the opacity.

Does anyone else have issues with getting the 2012/2016 PVIs to appear? It only shows up under the "history" section for some of my maps...

Some states don't have 2012/2016 election data yet.

Looks like a lot of bugginess has been fixed now. The only real issue I continue to have is slow initial load times (which occasionally just grind to a complete stop), but this is not new with this version of DRA.

I think it works if you use the 2010 data. At least for Oregon, NC, and Ohio...

What are you talking about 2012 and 2016 PVI? I've got none of that for any state, just 2008 data, and 2016 pres for select states.

And why does it use 2015 population data?

You have to use the 2010 voting districts for KY, unfortunately.

WARNING:
if you accidentally type in too many digits to the box when you input how many Districts you want on the map, you could crash your entire internet browser in the process, and possibly give your computer massive slowdown. This happens as you type; not as you click the confirm button. This just happened to me and it took like 15 or so minutes for things to start working again (it seems to sometimes be possible to wait through, but its such a long time, that there is still a major level of importance towards being careful).

Do any states besides Pennsylvania and Michigan have 2016 election data?
