This is what I think the map would look like in a head to head matchup between Trump and Cruz.



Donald Trump - 33 contests
Ted Cruz - 24 contests

I think Cruz would have a stronger showing due to the less candidates in the race but ultimately I still think Trump would win the nomination and probably the general election.
