WELS are the feisty Lutherans. The seem to have almost identical views as the LCMS, but with a little more kick.

Anyway, I've never met one I didn't like.

Well, tbf, I've never actually been exposed to a WELS, I just know of them by reputation.  From 8th to 12th grade I was in a LCMS church because where we lived didn't have an ELCA church and I found that to be pretty unpleasant.  Going through confirmation convinced me that the pastor was a tyrannical dick.  So, anything to the right of LCMS has to be pretty bad.
