Most of eastern europe has gotten a little tired of the french trying to run everything.

With the change in the German government, support for the french (anti-American) position in the EU seems to have fallen.

First of all, the French doesn't run the EU and the Franco-German axis has been pretty much defunk since the admission of Sweden, Finland and Austria and the fall of Koll. After all, Schröder and Chirac has very little in common

Second, just because somebody disagree with American policies, they are not "anti-american." Such a claim is just a simplistic as claiming that all Americans are overweight burger eating ignorants who believe that Denmark is the capital of Sweden and wonder why the English has used so many American city names (Hey Bob, they forgot the New in New York)

Third, just because the rightwing Poles would like do run the EU (or at least get as much money as possible) doesn't mean that the Eastern European memberstates en bloc supports this
