The only way King will go down is if he is suspended from the caucus and forced to run as an independent or third party candidate.

You can't exactly force someone to run as an indie if they have the signatures to run in the primary and win it(eg arthur jones)

Therefore the GOP base must kick him out as the district is basically Safe R.

There is only one race where I would have voted for a democrat against a republican : in the 3rd district of Illinois.
Lipinski is a fairly moderate Democrat who is against abortion and who voted against the ACA, besides the republican candidate was a nazi (he even claimed he was one)
Steve King, on the other hand isnít a nazi nor a fascist, yeah he is clearly against mass immigration but itís not the same thing that claiming that some races are inferior to others ones. Anyway, as a European I think that King would be a pretty mainstream guy in some European populists, right-wing parties like RN in France or Afd in Germany
Moreover Scholten was a extremist left wing democrat, who was supported by Sanders so I wouldnít even considered voting for him
