The proposed amendment is frivolous and will not be considered.

My amendment is actually less frivolous than the proposed resolution itself.

I now propose the following amendment, piggy-backing off the fabulous success of the previous one (thank you, Ninja):

The proposed amendment is also frivolous and will not be considered.

Do any other representatives have anything to add?

This bill is a xenophobic end run, plain and simple. I will vote NAY on this bill.

I would point out that in large measure the attempts by established figures to avoid having debates about say economic based or merit based immigration approaches and so forth and the labeling of all dissent from the uniformly embraced neoliberal position of high immigration is always good immigration, is in large measure what has fed the rise in serious xenophobia and racism where such did not have to be the case.

The greatest mistake the establishment has ever made, has been to put all of its eggs in a single basket on immigration and likewise on trade. What happens is that people will look elsewhere for answers and the end result is you get a bag of cheetos instead of an egg.

You can be against high levels of immigration and think birthright citizenship is unnecessary and in this case, smells xenophobia. I hold all of those views, actually.

This resolution still does not follow House rules for a Constitutional amendment.

If this Constitutional amendment resolution isn't amended to follow House rules, this resolution will be removed from the floor for being frivolous in 24 hours.

Then what do you want to make it fit house rules?

"7.) All resolutions seeking to amend the constitution must be introduced along with a passage detailing what is being changed in the Constitution and why, called the Amendment Explanation."

AZ is xenophobic? That's a strong claim.

Razze amendment is not friendly. Can the left please have a serious conversation on this issue instead of proposing frivolous amendments and spewing slanderous one liner falsehoods.

Under no circumstances will I vote to undermine the principle of jus soli. My vote is nay, no matter how this resolution is amended.

Trolling is a better contribution to this debate than the originally proposed resolution. Any attempt to restrict the principle of jus soli, like my colleague Devout Centrist laid out, is flat-out anti-Atlasian, and I use that term knowing how serious it is.

Every single country in the Americas except for Cuba, Colombia, and some of the Antillean islands has birthright citizenship, and that is because this is a hemisphere of immigrants and refugees. It's very disappointing to see that we even need to engage in debating this proposal, and it does not bode well for the future of conservatism in Atlasia if some members of the Federalist Party actually support legislation like this.

I hope my colleagues will oppose this bill.
