So that is official. The third season of Stranger Things, my favorite series on Netflix, will be released on July 4 2019. This season will be set on Independence Day 1985. I can’t wait for this.

Pretty excited, but this show is just another reminder that either Netflix is biting off more than it can chew or they are just dicks with their schedules. S3 is coming almost 2 years after S2. What gives? If they want to replace cable TV, it'd help if they at least adhere to a schedule like cable does. It's not even like the show has 20+ episodes. This season is listed as having 8 episodes. If anything, that should make yearly releases even more manageable.

This is gonna be fantastic. A bit bummy that most of the good ones are comin' out that late.

@Ginny: D*(ks? Seems to me that the creators imposed this one as a means to the plot point [hence the 7/4 story point]

Season 1 was cool in the first couple of episodes when you didn't know what was going on.

Season 2 was kinda dull once they tried to atually define it.

I prefer these sci-fi shows when you dont actually know what is going on.

Watching 11 have a romance with Capt. Nerdowitzel was like burning my eyes out with HCl solution.

Acting within the confines of a love story was not his strong suit.

The messed up guy with the scruffy hair and the hot car is from Perth. He added something more realistic to the series.

Love the vintage synth!

I just watched both seasons in the last week and I'm hooked. Great show.

Stranger Things had kind of fallen off my radar due to how long it's been since the last season, but I'm looking forward to this.

I try to watch already completed shows to avoid this issue.
