Halloween and Death Wish. I saw both films in theaters in 2018.

Critics described the Bruce Willis remake of "Death Wish", the 1974 Charles Bronson film, a "Trumpian fascist fantasy". I knew that meant a great film. Cheesy

Just saw Mary Queen of Scots. Such a great movie, I'd rate it 11/10, it's that good. Really hope it manages to get Oscar traction (Sairsoe Ronan for Best Actress & Margot Robbie for Supporting Actress). Not to mention, Saoirse's accent was great lol

From 2016, watched this movie in 2018.

Hounds of Love (2016)

Based on a true story in Perth, Western Australia.

I don't want to say anything about it. Simply download it, and then watch it keeping in mind it is a true story.

I haven't seen too many, but Hereditary and Mission Impossible: Fallout were my favourites.

Your taste in movies is as pathetic as your politics.

Colette was my #1 most loved movie of 2018. It was sumptuous!

Other stuff I loved: On the Basis of Sex, Tomb Raider, and Christopher Robin (oh bother!).

RBG and Won't You be My Neighbor? were both very good but I don't really get stoked enough about documentaries to pick them for a favorites list.

Halloween was okay, nothing special and not as good as I'd hoped, but it wasn't bad.  I was a bit disturbed by how many people in the theater cheered when Michael snapped that kid's neck in the pickup truck though.

I'm a YUGE fan of the original "Halloween" and I can say that last year's remake/sequel/whatever was a travesty and an insult to Carpenter's seminal masterpiece.
The scene you mentioned was a big reason for that, as was the fact that they turned Michael Myers into a second rate Bane.
