B, connected, is the only one that would make sense there. Connected in this context would be referring to how his brain is wired together on the inside.

^ I admit I mostly skimmed that (it's actually pretty hard to read and retain when you're not filling it out as a worksheet), but I agree the last one is kind of odd.  Since she is an orphan from Africa and the story seems to be emphasizing her humble background, I would guess it is "owned."  It probably should have been something like "won."  While "owned" sounds kind of odd, none of the others seem to work at all:

B. "found" - She didn't find the prize, it was given to her.  I suppose she could have "found" art as a way of making her happy, but that would be very odd wording.
C.  "finished" - This has a negative connotation that Suzy has never been able to complete anything in her past, and I don't think they would put that in there in what is supposed to be an uplifting story.
D. "saved" - This makes the least sense, as she didn't save anything.
