This being my last full day in office, I would like to thank the voters (President Siege in particular) for the honor of being able to serve as Vice President. I truly enjoyed holding this position, and I am grateful for the opportunity.

I wish the best of luck to the new President, Joe Republic. I am quite sure that he will be an excellent and effective leader during the period of reform that lies ahead. My best wishes go also to Vice President-Elect Defarge. I am ready to offer any assistance that the new administration desires.

Thank you for the well wishes, Emsworth.  I think its fair to say that you have been probably the best Vice President this republic has ever seen.  Before your term, the position was really just a figurehead role, filled by somebody who would wait with either hope or dread for if and when the President resigned.  But you truly made the job your own.  I wish you the very best of luck for any future endeavors you choose to have.
