Lisa Murkowski Speaks to Supporters in Columbia

“South Carolina! This is so wonderful, isn’t it? I’m so proud of the campaign we’ve created together, and this is a hard fought victory for us to share and celebrate. Our campaign has been aggressively positive, hopeful, and forward looking, and it looks like that’s the message that resonated across this great state. I want to congratulate the other candidates in both this party’s primary, and the other’s, for their work in this race, let me tell you, running for President isn’t for the faint of heart, but neither is actually being President. I look forward to the ability to share my vision of economic stability, energy independence, and a more freedom focused federal government with voters on Super Tuesday. However, tonight, we get to celebrate what all of you worked so hard to achieve, thank you!”

Phil Scott Statement on South Carolina Results

Hi everyone, nice to you see you all waited for me. I just came out of a meeting with the Lieutenant Governor and my cabinet, we discussed a variety of issues related to the state, particularly farm issues, and issues of effective transportation in this tough winter we got here. But that's not why you've waited. I've seen the South Carolina results, I tweeted about it earlier. We did get beaten. We got beaten bad, but we're getting up, and going forward. I want to thank everyone who got out to vote, and thank you to my volunteers and supporters who got out there and got to vote and got their friends out to vote. We are still sending a powerful message, Washington isn't working. It's time for a new kind of politics. I want to thank Senator Braun, Representative Mast, and Representative Sanford for getting out there to support me, they did a great job. As we go forward into Super Tuesday, I'll need your support more then ever, and I'm confident that we can win together. Thank you.

This campaign is one that is of, by, and for the people of the United States of America. I, am ready to be your next Democratic Nominee, and your next President, but we must spread that message. We must spread nation wide, that we aren't going to quit. That we aren't going to give up to John Kerry and Sherrod Brown.

Excerpt from Sink Los Angeles Rally

For far too long, this country's Immigration System has been broken. It hasn't been a system that's worked for Immigrants, and it hasn't been a System that's worked for Americans. This campaign is based on real change. President Romney isn't going to fix it, John Kerry isn't going to fix it, and Sherrod Brown isn't going to fix it. The only person who's willing to fix it, is us. We're going to fix it, and we're going to make a system that works for Immigrants.

We're going to put in place a Pathway to Citizenship. We're going to get a Border that doesn't shut people out, but one that brings people in, and gets them citizenship. We're going to have a Strong Border, but a Humanitarian One. And I make this pledge today, right here, right now. That under my Administration, no Family, no matter the race or size will be broken up. That is what an Immigration System that works for the people looks like.

Phil Scott Remarks at Los Angeles Senior Center

(March 1, Major Excerpt)

California is definitely high tax. This is a state which has ran up the taxes on almost everything. Sales tax, income tax, you name it. As I've travelled through the Golden State, I've seen it, that these are hard working folk. They don't deserve this kind of unfair, unnecessary taxation. Ya'll here have worked hard your entire life, you shouldn't be taxed into retirement. In Vermont, we did something different. We cut taxes for everyone, and kept a balanced budget and the best credit rating in the region.

Look, I disagree with other Republicans. We need a basic social safety net to protect the most vulnerable. And I stand here today to oppose social security cuts. I oppose betraying our seniors who have worked hard and deserve a dignified retirement. Look, we can cut taxes, balance budgets, and still protect seniors. We can get the best economy, cut taxes, and freeze other fees, and still protect the most vulnerable, and stand up for seniors. I want to do that best we can.

Remarks from the Governor at the Announcement in Tallahassee, Florida

For far too long, this country has been plagued by Greedy Politicians that are only in it for themselves. They've taken advantage of the American People. Lisa Murkowski Super Tuesday Schedule

March 1st:

Rally in Greenville, NC on the need for a balanced budget and economic stability

Town hall in Norfolk, VA on trade

Rally in Virginia Beach on Murkowski's plan for modernization of the military and expanding veteran programs

March 2nd:

Rally in Dallas, TX on energy independence

"Texas is one of the biggest energy producers in the country, and I think that is precisely why there's been such a robust population and economic boom right here. While politicians choose optics and showboating over solutions, real Americans are concerned with the cost of utilities, transportation, and good paying jobs. We do not need an 'either or' approach to energy, we need a 'yes, and' approach that prioritizes diversity in our energy portfolio. Texas, you know this is beneficial to not only keep costs of living low, but to also stimulate economic growth and allow us to rely on ourselves for energy production."

Town Hall in Arlington, TX on public lands

Joint rally in Fort Worth with Kay Granger on national security

Rally in Waco, TX on the need for low regulations to promote business growth

March 3rd:

Joint rally with Mimi Walters in Irvine, CA, speaking on the need for a pragmatic leader in Washington

Town Hall in Santa Ana, CA on education reform

Rally in Anaheim before holding GOTV operations there

Phil Scott for President

Team West is entirely dedicated to California. Representatives Denham and Valadao will spend time in their districts in the valley, campaigning to rural folks on Phil Scott's extensive agricultural policy on supporting family farmers and farm incomes across the board. They will also campaign to affluent suburbanites on Phil Scott's moderate record, and the economic growth (high credit rating) in Vermont. Secretary Powell will also be in Los Angeles, campaigning to minority Republicans, but also urban moderates looking for someone to end partisan gridlock. Representative Mario Diaz Balart of Florida will also fly in to campaign to Hispanic, and his spanish language campaigning will emphasize getting things done for the people of California and of America at large.

Team South

Team South is strongly focused on Virginia, both also somewhat in North Carolina. In Virginia, Larry Hogan will be touring the DC suburbs, campaigning to suburbanites on moderate policy and breaking partisan gridlock. Hogan is well suited for these areas. Scott Taylor and Robb Witman will be touring their respective districts on the shore, rallying support for Phil Scott with volunteers from the campaign and the Virginia chamber. In North Carolina, Brian Mast will campaigning on Veteran's Issues (as he is one) and Phil Scott's plans to reform the VA by placing a Vet in charge of the department, and providing more psychological services, and ending all criminal penalties or penalties, for Veteran's using prescribed Marijuana.

Sherrod Brown 2020
Rebuild America.

'We're in it for the long run' Sherrod Brown declares victory in South Carolina.

Quote
Thank you, South Carolina! Thank you!

Thank you, Connie Schultz, for being the best wife in the world. Just a few weeks ago, we witnessed the people of Iowa send a profound message to the political and economic establishment, but there were those who doubted this country's desire to take the mantle of rebuilding America. They said Iowa was a fluke; that it was a 'one-hit wonder,' not to be repeated again. Tonight, the cynics who believed that what began in the cold, snowy fields of Iowa was just an illusion were told a different story by the hard-working people of South Carolina. Tonight, a grassroots coalition of hard-working men and women have proven that we're in it for the long run.

After five great contests across this country, we have the most votes, the most delegates, and one of the largest grassroots movements that we've seen in a long, long time. You can see it in the union worker from Columbia who works 40 hours a week to provide for their family and wants a movement to stand up for a $15 minimum wage and worker's rights; or the African-American mom living in poverty-stricken, rural South Carolina who works at a local grocery store with grueling hours and menial pay and wants a movement to fight for good-paying jobs over mass incarceration; or the young student going to college in Greensville overwhelmed with the cost of tuition and the burden of student and wants a movement to tackle both, unapologetically. They have all joined us in our message to Washington that we are ready to rebuild America.

As contentious as this campaign may get, we have to remember that we are competing for the Democratic nomination, and that we all share a binding desire to wipe away the disastrous policies of President Romney's administration. But there are most definitely differences between the candidates. We are looking for more than a change of what party the President is. We are seeking to unleash an era of economic and racial justice and end the status quo in Washington D.C. We are seeking to end Wall Street's influence over our government and rebuild American democracy. We're seeking to rebuild America.

In a mere 3 days, we will take this movement from South Carolina to several other contests across this country. It certainly won't be easy, but we never embark on journeys without the chance to have setbacks. We'll send our movement nationwide on Super Tuesday; that we want to rebuild our America that works for all of us, not just a rich few. We will send that message that has built this campaign to strong finishes in all of the five primary states to the next several. Thank you, South Carolina, and good night.

ALEX SINK TALKS ABOUT AFFIRMATIVE ACTION IN NORTH CAROLINA

I believe that it is the right of every Student in this great country, to have a quality education. The least fortunate people, struggle the most, so why should they have to rack up hundreds of thousands of dollars in Student Debt? It just isn't right. You'll hear time and time again that if you support having an Affordable America that you're a radical who wants to destroy the country. Well, it's actually the exact opposite.

Let me tell you the story about a little girl I met when I was running for Governor in 2014. Her name was Georgia. Her mom was single, and she worked Paycheck to Paycheck. When Georgia had graduated High School, she got into the University of Pennsylvania. She was exhilarated, and she rushed in to tell her mom. Her mom was so happy for her, but she was scared, because they couldn't afford it. The university only offered to pay 1/4 of the cost, and the rest was up to them.

When she told Georgia that they couldn't afford it, she was heart broken. They came to a town hall that I had in their home town of Miami, and told me their story. Georgia asked me, "Mrs. Governor all I want is to go to College, and be able to provide for my Mom. How am I going to be able to get there?" I couldn't imagine the pain she went through, and how hard it was. So, I took action. I, as Governor, drafted with the Legislature, a bill that would allow for the state of Florida to pay for 4 year colleges, and community college. We expanded Affirmative Action, to make sure that every Floridian had the right to College.

Although, she was going for College out of State, I handled the problem. I took some money out of the fund that Bill left for us when he died, and did what he would've done, helped the community. I paid for her to go to the University of Pennsylvania. And now, she's a Doctor. She is helping her mom move out of their old apartment, into a House in the Miami Suburbs.

She is one of the people that inspired me to run for President. She touched my heart, and I think that it's time we take that bold action to all of America. That's why as President, I'll expand Affirmative Action Programs, give every student the Right to College, and make sure that no matter the race, everyone has a fair shot.

Phil Scott Remarks on Manassas Radio

(March 2, Major Excerpt)

Radio Host: So we've got some callers for Governor Scott, live calls, on the spotlight now Governor.

Phil: Let's just hope I'm not viral at the end of day. (Chuckles)

Radio Host: Alright, caller number one is a Tim from Danville, listening in from a good distance. Tim you're on the air.

Caller: Can you hear me?

Radio Host: Yep.

Caller: F***.

Radio Host: Alright, a reminder that obscene commentary is not tolerated.

Phil: (giggling)

Radio Host: Sorry Governor, now we've got another Phil from Leesburg.

Caller: Hi Phil. It's Phil, I'm calling to know your plan for safety in these areas. We've got MS-13, we've got all kinds of bad crime nearby. Now we've got good and bad neighborhoods. How can you keep, the communities and towns safe?

Phil: Excellent question Phil. I was supported by the New Hampshire Sheriff's Association, and by numerous law enforcement officials across this country because of my policies on police and crime. I believe we need to do 3 main things:
-Empower Local Police with the Resources they need
-Work to improve the relationship between communities and police
-Work to keep foreign crime, drugs, and weapons off our streets
We're gonna increase local police budgets by giving more money to the states so they can give police departments and county sheriffs what they need. New cars, new equipment, new resources for new officers. I want community reps and sheriffs communicating as much as possible, and for a safe and yeah, I hope friendly relationship. And we've gotta keep gangs like MS-13 by keeping the border secure, but also making sure that undocumented immigrants can report them to the police without fear of deportation. But we're also gonna support our coast guard to patrol illegal arms trafficking. There's no way I'm gonna allow an MS-13 gang member to get their hands on Colombian handguns.

Phil Scott Ad #10: Doing it Differently

To air in California, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Florida

Quote

Narrator: Partisan Politicians raised taxes and fees in states across the country.

Making Americans pinch every penny just to get by, to fund ineffective, bureaucratic pork programs.  Budgets running massive deficits, and cuts to the most vulnerable.

(Reveal of Phil)

Phil Scott: In Vermont, we did things differently. We cut taxes for everyone, and froze fees and tolls. We balanced our budgets, and investing in people. We brought politicians together to get things done for you.

Phil Scott: I believe that every American deserves low taxes and balanced budgets. And I believe we can do this for the whole country. Let's reach across the aisle, and get things done for you.

"I'm Phil Scott and I approve this message, because I believe my plan is best for taxpayers."
